Tina M. Smith

Tina M. Smith is a Florida native, born in Leesburg, Florida and raised in Central Florida. At a very young age, her parents instilled in her the value of helping others. Throughout her life, she’s supported disabled individuals, those experiencing homelessness and even abandoned animals. It’s this passion for being there for others that led her to a career in law, first earning her Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida then her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2011.

Tina began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney practicing criminal law in Florida’s Fifth Circuit. Here, Tina realized she wanted to cultivate deeper relationships with clients, working directly with them and assisting them in overcoming their legal challenges. 

For over 8 years, Tina’s primary focus has been handling residential and commercial real estate, title claims, foreclosures, liens, land use, construction disputes, landlord tenant, HOA/Condo Associations, and business transactions. It was her passion for real estate law that led Tina to McLin Burnsed, where her focus is on practicing Real Estate Law at our Leesburg office and leading the Residential Closing Department. In addition to supporting our team and clients, Tina is also a member of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law section of the Florida Bar Association, the Central Florida Real Estate Attorneys Council, Lake County Bar Association and the Sumter County Bar Association. 

Tina takes extreme pride in her work, from being responsive to clients to keeping a close eye on every detail in her process. She feels her compassion for her community pours into everything she does, making her a hard worker ready to go above and beyond for clients. Outside of work, Tina has a passion for volunteering with the children’s organization, DreamFlight, and volunteering with animals. She loves spending time with her husband (Greig), three rescued dogs (Titan, Beau and Mazzy) and two rescued cats (Tonka and Banksy), amateur photography and curling up by the pool with a good book.
